Castuera nougat is excellent. It’s not chauvinism, it’s rigor. The reason is simple: it takes whole almonds. Can any other nougat boast the same? Three factories operate in the village and there are still 150 turroneros that make the route of the fairs, between April and October, from Seville to Zafra. The nougat of Castuera is the most consumed by the Chinese and is exported to Russia, Belgium, France … Nothing, every castuereña house had its particular workman for nougat.
